One-Stop Shop Permitting to Resume

Following a pause due to COVID-19 restrictions, The City of Frederick’s One-Stop Shop permitting will resume on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. The One-Stop Shop occurs every Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at the City’s Annex Building (140 W Patrick Street). One-Stop Shop provides SAME-DAY permitting for certain small projects, including tenant fit-out and sign permits.

City Receives State Funding for Building Revitalization Projects

Earlier this week, Governor Larry Hogan announced the awardees from the Fiscal Year 2021 application round for state revitalization programs administered by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Second Grant Round Opens for Frederick Food Service Establishments

Frederick County restaurants and food service businesses are being offered a second round of grants to support the hard-hit industry. County Executive Jan Gardner announced that an additional $1.3 million would be distributed this month. Food service businesses that received funding in the first round will automatically receive a second grant. Those that did not receive funds in the fall may apply now through 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 13.
