Earlier this month, our team had the opportunity to tour Matan’s most recent project—Progress Labs at Riverside 1. On February 17, The City of Frederick’s Board of Alderman unanimously approved to accept $2.52 million from Frederick County government to assist in the purchase of the future site of the downtown hotel and conference. Proposed as a full-service Marriott branded hotel, the project will serve as an economic anchor along Carroll Creek - providing new downtown lodging options, stimulating local spending, and attracting future private investment to the area.
