The City of Frederick has some electrifying new additions thanks to EV charging stations by Blink Charging. Twenty charging stations have been installed across four of the City’s parking garages downtown. Now EV drivers can rest and recharge in Frederick, MD – where sustainability meets charm! With an expanding network of charging stations strategically placed throughout the region, range anxiety is a thing of the past.
“Frederick attracts nearly 2 million outside visitors per year on top of local transient trips by residents and workers,” said Director of Economic Development, Richard Griffin, “ In 2023 alone we saw a 50% uptick it trips made by EVs.”

The City of Frederick is committed to building a sustainable future for all residents. Increasing our charging network not only helps make downtown Frederick more accessible to EV drivers, but it also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the City.
"We're so excited to now have EV charging options for residents and visitors alike. These chargers will help reduce tailpipe emissions and ultimately help improve air quality in the City and the region," said the City's Sustainability Manager, Jenny Willoughby.
