The City of Frederick is accepting applications for the City Historic Preservation Property Tax Credit until April 1, 2022.
Tax paying property owners may apply for a credit equal to 25 percent of the properly documented expenditures incurred during 2021 for exterior work that contributes to the restoration or preservation of a structure designated by the City of Frederick as a Historic Preservation Overlay zone.
This includes all properties in the Frederick Town Historic District and any individually designated sites. To be eligible, the project must have prior HPC approval and a permit unless the project is only for eligible work on the Minor Rehabilitation List.
