This Spring, Frederick’s Annual National Cancer Institute and Frederick National Laboratory Technology Showcase was selected to receive the 2021 State and Local Economic Development Award from the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC).
The FLC is the congressionally mandated organization that educates, promotes, and facilitates Federal Technology Transfer. From among the 300+ Federal laboratories supported by the FLC, the State and Local Economic Development Award is presented annually to recognize successful initiatives that involve partnership between state or local economic development groups and federal laboratories for economic benefit.
The project team recognized for their hard work on the honored Technology Showcase include: Victoria Brun, Mary Ford-Naill & Richard Griffin (City of Frederick: Department of Economic Development), Heather Gramm, Mary Ellen Hackett, Dr. Walter Hubert, Ron Kaese, Michele Newton, Dr. Vladimir Popov, Dr. Laura Prestia, Helen Propheter, Dr. Michael Salgaller, Dr. Maggie Scully, and Dr. Thomas Stockhouse.
