FREDERICK, MD – The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) will be collecting items tomorrow and Sunday to send to Hurricane Irma victims following its potential landfall. With general aviation leading the way in Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, AOPA will begin activating additional pilots and volunteers to assist in recovering from any potential impact from Hurricane Irma.
AOPA staff will be on hand at the National Aviation Community Center (NACC), located at 296 Bucheimer Rd, Frederick, MD 21701, on Saturday September 9 and Sunday September 10 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. collecting items to be delivered to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
Individuals can also make tax deductible financial contributions to the AOPA Foundation to allow AOPA to provide support for relief efforts in response to recent events.
